VEGAN OPTIONS AT MCDONALD’S

Vegan Options at Mcdonald's

Ideally we’d all boycott McDonald’s

Since going Vegan a couple of years ago I’ve had McDonald’s firmly near the top of my hate list. Summed up as a giant conveyor belt of cruelty to animals and they’re doing terrible things to the planet.

I hadn’t been in one since I went Vegan until very recently. Living in central London for so long and being so spoilt for choice with Vegan options everywhere I looked, it just never crossed my mind to go in there.

I support other ‘ethically questionable’ places which offer Vegan options but McDonald’s was always a place I would say a hard no to. View Post

INTERVIEW WITH A VEGAN: Leo, age 5

{Leo loving life at Mildred’s in Soho}

It’s been a while since there’s been an interview on Win Friends With Salad (January to be precise!), so I thought what better way to kick off another round of Vegan Interviews than a chat with my favourite Little Vegan, my 5 year old nephew Leo!

10 THINGS I LEARNT WHEN I ADOPTED A DOG

Win Friends with a rescue dog

A few weeks ago we adopted a dog and we named him Ralph. He is the sweetest, most wonderful, gentle pupper. Growing up we always had a dog around, we had 3 German shepherds (Lady, Chas & Buster) and we had a black Lab (Abbey), but Ralph is my first dog as a grown up (getting a dog is definitely the most grown up thing I’ve ever done!).

We’ve learnt a lot so far so I thought I’d share a few of these knowledge drops with you today. View Post

 Ruby & Pickles Supper Club

Last night the wonderful Ruby & Pickles celebrated their first birthday by hosting an evening of delicious dishes, bubbly, tunes and general good times at the uber cool loft style space Blank 100 in Dalston.

If you haven’t already heard of Ruby & Pickles then 1) Where have you been!? and 2) R&P was formed in the Spring of 2016 by friends Sareta & Jasel who wanted to put their love of cooking to work by creating themed supper clubs around London that are all homemade, Vegetarian/Vegan and sold out (book quickly!).  View Post

RED VELVET COOKIES AND AN ACTION PACKED SOYA CHICKEN SANDWICH FROM MS CUPCAKE IN BRIXTON

I’ve written about Ms Cupcake once before (they made our wedding cakes, yes PLURAL, you can view that post here) but recently I tried a couple of new things from them and gosh darn it do I need to shout about them on here again!

Ms Cupcake is a shop in Brixton which specialises in exceedingly delicious Vegan cakes. They also offer an array of sandwiches, cookies, milkshakes, brownies and branded treats like Vego, Vegenaise and Vegan ice creams. Basically they’re Vegan Disneyland.
